The National Institute of Public Health will organize the third scientific-professional conference in the field of public health, which will take place on September 30 and October 1, 2025.
The conference provides an opportunity for the exchange of scientific findings, best practices, and innovative solutions that contribute to improving the health of the population and strengthening the field of public health. It is intended for professionals, researchers, and decision-makers working in the field of public health, as well as students who wish to expand their knowledge of public health or present their research work.
The thematic areas of the scientific-professional conference include:
- Disease prevention (risk factors),
• Environmental risks to public health,
• Infectious diseases,
• Non-communicable diseases,
• Healthy aging,
• Mental health,
• Development of the healthcare system based on health data 1 and 2,
• Communication in public health.
Submission of papers and abstracts is open from February 14, 2025 to April 15, 2025.
To actively participate in the conference, it is necessary to submit a paper or an abstract. When preparing submission, the attached instructions must be followed. Papers and abstracts will be subject to blind peer review, and accepted papers and abstracts will be published in an online proceeding.
The conference will enable the acquisition of continuing medical education (CME) points from the Medical Chamber of Slovenia and the Chamber of Health and Midwifery Care of Slovenia – the Association of Professional Societies of Nurses, Midwives, and Health Technicians of Slovenia.
Timeline for submission and review of papers/abstracts:
April 15, 2025 – deadline for submission of papers/abstracts
May 23, 2025 – final deadline for peer review
June 6, 2025 – deadline for submitting authors’ corrections after review
June 23, 2025 – final deadline for second peer review
After the peer reviews are completed, authors will be notified by August 15, 2025, at the latest, about their presentation, which may be oral or in the form of a poster.
