If you were not able to find the desired data on our website, you are welcome to send us your questions via the NIJZ statistics office.

The statistics office offers the following options:

  • Customized data preparation for the general and professional public, or in cases where you need more detailed data, assistance in interpreting data; and
  • For researchers, access to microdata for research purposes.

The preparation of data

To start the process, you need to fill out the Data Request form (attached in DOC and PDF format), where you specify your requirements, and send it by email to: statisticna.pisarna@nijz.si.

If you order large quantities of data that are not published on the websites, or require special processing, we will charge you for material costs and services in accordance with the Statement of Own Activity. In accordance with the regulations and methodology, we will inform you in advance of the price of the full service and the expected processing deadline.

In addition to preparing data, we also offer expert advice in data interpretation. Data available in electronic form is sent via email or on magnetic media, while other data (copies) is sent by regular mail.

We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible. However, if preparing an appropriate response takes longer than usual, we ask for your understanding in advance.

For researchers

NIJZ provides access to microdata for research and analytical purposes (for registered researchers in state administration, and registered research institutions) to start the process, you need to fill out the Application for obtaining microdata for scientific research or statistical purpose and send it by email to: statisticna.pisarna@nijz.si.

If your request is approved, access to the data must be arranged from a legal and formal perspective. You can access the data in person in the so-called Secure Room at the NIJZ premises, or we can prepare it for you and provide it on magnetic media. All details can be arranged by contacting the statistics office.

Individual data collected as part of national statistics are strictly confidential and may only be used for statistical purposes, regardless of whether they relate to natural or legal persons. Therefore, it must be handled with the utmost care and responsibility, and any access to such data by researchers must be in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act, and the National Statistics Act.
